Should be a 5 star if it had better browser compatibility. Perfect for those one off instructional videos for clients, etc. Best part is that they will publish and host w/out any crazy branding or ads
I like the simplicity of this screen sharing app. It captures the screen well and the resolution you end up with is quite nice. The problem is the server where the video is hosted on is not fast enough or the quality of the video is too high for decent playback. Ive sent my screencast to a few people and they said they had to wait for video to buffer for 10 -15 seconds. These viewers were on internet connections of 20Mbs +. I’d love to use this app, even pay for it if the videos that were shared via the link played back better. There are alot of these apps with flaws or features not needed. This app has one purpose in mind so record your screen and share it quickly. I really like that. Just need video playback for end user to improve.
This is a really really good app for recording but the problem is that it has a limit to the recording time. If it actually had no time limit then I might rate it to be a 5 star.
This has potential to be a rock star product, but I’ve ran into a lot of bugs with it and finally hit one today where my videos aren’t even saving to my local drive when I click save & exit. I use QC to troubleshoot bugs with my various projects to make it easier for my developers to understand the issues. This is the perfect app to do so - I actually love the time limit because it forces the user to get to the point. However, here are a list of the issues I’ve ran into: Yosemite: The quick record option didn’t work. The recording never started because there was no countdown. The advance recording option worked, but I only used it with the full screen option. This was how I’ve been geting along El Capitan The advance recording option seems to work, but it doesn’t save the video. I’ve recorded different videos of the same thing (3 times) and none of them are saved in the directory that is selected for saving (or on the whole computer it seems, at least according to spotlight). So I’m assuming its just not saving. The issue with quick record is there as well still So basically the app is useless to me now. I left 3 stars because its a great idea, beautiful app and I understand how tough it is to build these type of things. These issues (for me at least) have been around for a while - so you guys really, really need correct them if the issues aren’t unique to me ( I only have 1 copy on 1 machine) But its a free product - that isn’t lost on me - and it could be a great one. I love this app. It has been working great until this latest release. The app will only record the full screen no matter where or how I place crop box. Once this issue is corrected it will surely be a 5 star app. I’m looking forward to the latest release.
I would love to use this for my homework but unfortunately I cannot even get it to open. When I go to the site for support, nothing. I have to tweet my issue. This is a pretty site but it’s not functional. We need function and form.
This app is awesome and simple—it really get the job done and it stays focused on the value it delivers. A problem I’ve encountered after sometime is that I get a ‘could not decode’ error and this will persist forever until I uninstall and reinstall the app. The downside is that it seems the app isn’t really maintained much, I do hope they do more with it. Great job!
What can I say? It works great for 3 or Five minute recording!!!! I wish itd allow you to increase the duration of the recordings.. But overall it works as intended!!!
Does exactly what you would hope it would do — it captures your screen! I love that you can do a full screen capture or just a highlighted area, and that it also records mouse clicks and audio. Brilliant app!
